Just for fun, Kelly entered Shug into the “Bissell Most Valuable Pet” contest. Winner gets their face plastered all over the packaging for some new vaccuum cleaner they’re coming out with. Voting ended on the 19th — thanks to everyone who took 30 seconds to click the link I had here to cast a vote for Shug!

I promised earlier to post reviews on the video games I got for Christmas. Why has it taken me until February to review Super Mario Galaxy? Because I’ve been so busy playing it, I didn’t feel like stopping to write about it! The only bad thing about this game, is that I can’t even imagine how Nintendo could possibly top it. »»More
Ticket re-sale website Stub Hub tells CNN that the average price for a Super Bowl ticket is $4300. But even before the scalpers get involved, the article goes on to say the tickets were originally priced by the NFL at $700 and $900. This is just out of control, people! »»More
When a computer program has a “preferences” screen… you usually expect it to actually follow the preferences you choose. Right? That’s not the case with Apple’s QuickTime for Windows — a program that apparently prefers to think for itself. And I’ve had enough of it… »»More
It’s about time! We’ve all heard of people getting tickets for driving too fast. We’ve also heard it’s “dangerous” to drive too slow — but how often do the cops do anything about it? As one Tulsa TV station reports, police in Oklahoma are just as pissed off as I am, about slow drivers in the passing lane. Check out this video (you’ll be subjected to a 15-second ad first, but it’s well worth it). I wonder how long until we can get Troopers to take the same approach to slow drivers in E-ZPass lanes!
I wasn’t expecting it, but I received “SimCity Societies” for Christmas. And first off, I need to correct an earlier article about the game — it IS compatible with Windows Vista.
With that business out of the way, onto my review. I haven’t played very much yet, so I’m not really sure whether I like it or not… but I have some first impressions. »»More
From KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon: a teenage McDonald’s employee is being called a hero after helping deliver her co-worker’s baby in the restaurant’s bathroom. The kicker — the mother didn’t even know she was pregnant! How the heck does someone go through an entire pregnancy NOT knowing they’re pregnant?!
Seeing as how the Rose Bowl is indirectly causing me to stay at work 40 minutes later than I should have to, I thought this would be a good opportunity to review a previous post: Rant: Network TV Sports Events That Run Late. Happy New Year, everyone!
Here comes the first in a short series of reviews on new games we got for Christmas. I’ll get right to the point: this one sucks. (I paid for it, so I can bash it.) Thankfully, I wasn’t “looking” for it — Kelly loves the M&M characters, and I found it by chance while looking for other gift ideas. So, at least it wasn’t like either of us were anxiously anticipating its arrival on Christmas. Click “more” to see the rest of the review I submitted to outpost.com. »»More
