Don’t get me wrong: I am not anti-bicyclist. I am a bicyclist myself, with 180+ miles under my belt so far this season alone. But I’m also a motorist, and it irks me every time I notice bicyclists who put themselves in danger by not complying with the rules of the road. Yes, just as drivers have laws to obey on the roads, so do bicyclists. [More »]

Got an email today from Best Buy. Awhile ago, I signed up for their Rewards Zone program — well before I started my boycott of Best Buy after an experience with crappy customer service awhile back. Today’s email comes a couple weeks in advance of my birthday, titled “A special birthday offer for a valued Reward Zone member.” Oh boy, I thought, maybe a deep discount or something for free! Not so fast… [More »]

Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed something that’s made driving in Syracuse a little more challenging — or at least interesting. Pedestrians who feel they’d rather risk death by walking in the street, rather than get their feet cold by walking on snowy sidewalks. [More »]

Taking advantage of Target’s current “buy 2 Wii games, get one free” promotion, I bought Press Your Luck along with two other game show games yesterday. The problems begin as soon as you insert the disc in your Wii console. [More »]

The Gillette Fusion Power Cartridges pictured at left, a box of eight, retail for $23.99 at Walgreens (apparently the only retailer brave enough to post its prices online). What justifies that outrageous cost?? [More »]

Rant: Syracuse Airport Parking Rate Increase
According to NewsChannel 9, the ABC affiliate in Syracuse, parking rates at Syracuse Hancock International Airport are set to go up on July 1st. As if airfares themselves aren’t already expensive enough, the wonderful tax-happy government of Syracuse wants to squeeze even more blood from a stone. Let’s compare Syracuse’s rates to two other nearby airports: Rochester and Albany. [More »]
