There are so many reasons why these people were just plain stupid in their actions, I don’t even know where to begin. [More »] Tonight I was checking a detail about the Poughkeepsie Bridge on Wikipedia while writing a post on a railroad message board I check on a semi-regular basis. And I found, according to Wikipedia, today is the 35th anniversary of the big fire that took the bridge out of service for good… for trains, anyway.
