 From MTV.com If you saw the MTV Video Music Awards a couple weeks ago, you may have been impressed by the “live” performance of Taylor Swift singing “You Belong to Me” during a subway ride up the F-train from Bryant Park to Rockefeller Center, coming up the stairs right outside Radio City Music Hall, where the awards were being held. [More »] The Onondaga County Legislature is a bunch of morons (most of them, not all of them) for killing the idea of an outdoor AHL game at Syracuse’s Alliance Bank Stadium. There are so many reasons why these people were just plain stupid in their actions, I don’t even know where to begin. [More »]  From Wikipedia Tonight I was checking a detail about the Poughkeepsie Bridge on Wikipedia while writing a post on a railroad message board I check on a semi-regular basis. And I found, according to Wikipedia, today is the 35th anniversary of the big fire that took the bridge out of service for good… for trains, anyway. [More »] If you live in New York State, chances are good you’ve seen this ad — it’s been airing since 2007. Lately, the ad has been surfacing again… but did you notice the same weird thing about it that I did?

I’ve been to the Carrier Dome a few times, but never for an SU football or basketball game. I always thought it’d be nice to go sometime — and now that I work normal hours, I can. But after a very poor move Syracuse University just took against some of its most loyal fans… I don’t see myself going to the Dome again anytime soon. 
Hey, anyone remember back in 2005 when the New York State Thruway said it was going to start removing some of the greasy fast food joints from its service areas to make way for healthier and/or more upscale eateries? About three and a half years later, I’m still waiting to see the changes. In the meantime, I’ve got some alternative options just off the highway.
