For folks like me, the idea of a new “classic” Mega Man game is an eyebrow-raiser. I think any kid who grew up in the 80s played one of the Mega Man games on the NES at one point or another, whether you actually owned the game(s), borrowed them from friends or rented them at stores. So how does “the Blue Bomber” perform in this latest installment? It’s a mix of pros and cons for this game… which has a great concept, but quickly becomes frustratingly challenging. More »

I’m not talking about the analog-to-digital switch coming next February. I’m talking about some radical changes being considered by the major TV networks, thanks to the ongoing economic crisis.
Broadcasting relies heavily on advertising. And anyone who has ever watched TV knows a lot of that advertising comes from automakers and local car dealers. The auto industry makes up a stunning chunk of the revenue that keeps TV going. (Not just nationally, but locally too.)
As predicted right here on this very website in February, Fox has cancelled MadTV. The show’s co-creator is hoping to keep it alive on cable TV, even if it has to get by on a smaller budget.
While some might argue Comedy Central would be a no-brainer for this, I don’t think they’d risk putting up all that money to try to compete with SNL. In fact, no cable network immediately comes to mind as a likely customer for this has-been show.
About a week or two ago, I heard a local political ad on the radio. One candidate was bashing an opponent for accepting campaign donations from “questionable” sources. I don’t remember who the candidates are, but that’s irrelevant. This kind of a situation just shouldn’t be happening to begin with. More »
Crazy for Black Friday Deals
Check out this picture — look at all that traffic! Is it a bad accident? Nope. It’s throngs and throngs of drivers, likely from New York City and northern New Jersey… heading to the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets shopping center.
At 1:30am, they’re all flocking to the outlets to cash in on some of the big Black Friday sales. And they’re not getting a head start — they’re actually 90 minutes late! The outlets opened at midnight. More »
