Last year’s trip to Darien Lake resulted in a rave review on this website. This year’s trip, sadly, was just the opposite. I gave a lot of leeway last year, since the amusement park was under brand new management, after Six Flags sold off several parks across the country during the winter of 2006-2007. While Darien Lake wasn’t quite perfect last year, Parc had convinced me they were trying to turn things around. This year, I have to say they’ve failed quite dismally. More »

At first, I was planning to write a rant about how several Nintendo Wii game titles are still selling for full price, nearly two full years after their initial release. It was annoying me that “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” is still $49.99, while many other games have long-since had their prices reduced. But now that I finally broke down and bought it… I can understand why this game still commands full price. More »

Child Abandonment Gets Out of Hand
This one is amazing… I couldn’t believe it when it came down the AP news wire at work yesterday. Some guy in Nebraska abandoned 9 of his own children… ranging in ages from 1 to 17. Just dropped them off at the hospital, like unwanted puppies at the pound. And the absurd part — it was completely legal! More »
