There’s a wonderful website I like to visit once in awhile when I get bored… it’s called FlashGames. You can play Flash-based versions of several different TV game shows — usually just the bonus rounds (the best part). It’s all free, the games work well (unlike some other sites I’ve tried), and it’s anyone’s guess how these guys got their hands on so many theme songs and sound effects “in the clear” (without any other background noise or talking). But when I visited the site just now… it looks like SONY ruined quite a bit of the fun. »»More

Let’s call this one a “2 for 1″ rant. I’ll get the first one out of the way real quick off the bat here. While I wish to rant about idiot drivers on the New York State Thruway, the image at left (”borrowed” from Google Images) was taken along the New Jersey Turnpike. Why don’t we have 55MPH lanes on the Thruway yet? Our “fast” lanes are just 20MPH, and they just started appearing within the last year. Better than the original 5MPH lanes, but it seems many people still haven’t noticed the difference. They are the idiot drivers I wish to rant about today. »»More

A short but simple rant: people in big cities get it. Most people in Syracuse shopping malls don’t. If you’re just going to stand there, stand over to the right side. Let people who are in a hurry (like me, usually) walk by on the left. The escalator is transportation, not an amusement ride.
I thought calling it FAST food meant it’s supposed to be fast. Apparently that’s not the case anymore.

Hey, everyone loves to stop by Subway for a sandwich. Me too. Sure, they’re more overpriced than your corner sub/pizza shop… but sometimes they’re closer than the local place. They’re also usually cleaner (you can actually see the subs being made) and they won’t tell you it’s gonna be 30 minutes like you just ordered a dozen large pizzas. But there’s one thing that annoys the hell out of me every time I order a sub.

You know you’re approaching a road work zone when you see an orange sign like this one. Right now, these are a pretty common sight on the interstate highway between my home and my job.
If you’re like most people, as soon as you see that sign, you make sure you’re in the proper lane, well in advance. But you know there’s always that one idiot driver… »»More
