There’s a new SimCity game coming out soon! I don’t know how long news of this game has been “out there” but I just discovered it the other day. Instead of “SimCity 5,” they’re calling it “SimCity Societies” and it comes out November 13. Hard to tell if I’ll like it… the official SimCity website doesn’t show a whole lot in their sneak preview. For example, it doesn’t say which versions of Windows are supported.
EA links to three retailers who are offering different “bonus” add-on buildings, for people who pre-order the game. I checked all three… and found that Amazon lists “Windows 98/2000/XP.” No mention of Vista. On the pre-order pages offered by Wal-Mart and GameStop, there’s NO mention of operating systems at all. Until EA officially clears up this confusion, I’m not going to spend $50 on a game, only to find out it doesn’t work with Vista.
